Computer Repair

Repair, Support and Training

Let's Talk Graphics offers onsite computer troubleshooting and repair services for businesses and homes local to Pahrump, NV.

Owner Shane Coursen started working professionally with computers in 1986 as a field service technician installing and repairing PC-based equipment, peripherals and local area networks. Since that time he has worked with all major PC brands and can service all AMD & Intel-based computer systems.

We are available to:

Build your custom PC...

A custom-built PC isn't for everybody. In fact a custom-built PC can be more expensive than buying a store-bought computer. A custom-built PC will not have an all-inclusive system warranty. There will be no 24x7 phone support. The case will not display a major brand-name logo.

The problem is, application-specific and performance PCs rarely come in a major name brand box. And when they do, it sometimes makes sense to compare its price against a custom-built PC. A custom-built PC is limited to the manufacturer of your choice for any given component. Dollar-for-dollar, a custom-built PC is usually a far better performer when compared to a name brand.

Troubleshoot and repair...

Modern PCs have between 6 and 10 components that comprise the entire computer system. Unless the problem is intermittent, troubleshooting a failed component is straightforward. Let's Talk Graphics provides onsite troubleshooting and computer repair services to businesses and residents of Pahrump.

Replace option cards...

Need to replace or upgrade an internal option card? Let's Talk Graphics offers onsite computer repair services.

Replace / Upgrade hard drive...

The act of replacing a hard drive isn't complicated, but restoring a system to full working order does take some skill. Once a new hard drive is in place there are additional steps necessary, such as installing and updating the operating system and applications like MS-Office and antivirus software. Keep in mind, too, that Internet connections must be reestablished, which may mean firewall, TCP/IP and DNS configuration.

Let's Talk Graphics will handle all of the technicals and optimize your new hard drive! Contact us today.

Install / Configure software applications...

Using a software application may be easier than installing and configuring one. We can do both. The next time you are overwhelmed by technology, contact Let's Talk Graphics.

Transfer hard drive data from one computer to another...

When a hard drive is replaced or upgraded, data must be transferred from the old hard drive to the new. Windows does provide a file transfer wizard, but usually this is not an ideal solution. Rather than cause an immediate glut, a technician will spend time with a client and transfer only those files that are absolutely required.

Install / Update Operating System...

Depending upon the age of the backup and the operating system level, this is a process that may require several hours. It is more cost-effective if your computer is at our lab. Let's Talk Graphics offers free pick up and drop off services for Pahrump residents.

Once a technician has completed the base install, the system will receive the latest (chipset, LAN, video, etc.) drivers and operating system updates. If the system is being restored from a factory state, out-of-date applications are updated or removed.

Lastly, an image of the drive is made, giving the client an updated base install to work from. This backup is easily restored by the client, just in case the system ever needs to be restored again.

Even old systems can be made to run like to new again just by a reinstall of the operating system! Contact Let's Talk Graphics for a quote.

Install / Configure antivirus software

There are no tricks to installing antivirus software except that of patience. When more advanced installs require additional configuration of the firewall, feel free to call Let's Talk Graphics. We have some experience with computer security.

Remove malware

It's great when antivirus software stops malware dead in its tracks. What happens when it doesn't? Your first concern is how to get rid of the malware. At the same time you may want to know more about what happened? When did it happen? What did the malware do to the computer; the security settings? What confidential information might it have been able to glean? Additional forensics might be prudent depending on legal liability or data loss. Don't assume the only solution is restoring a computer to its default factory state. 9 times out of ten, even when an antivirus can't repair the damage, I usually can.

Backup / Restore data / Check security and update settings

It's always very important to keep good data backups. Do it often. Let's Talk Graphics can make an onsite call to get a regular backup schedule set up, at the same time verifying that your system will automatically receive Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office updates.
