Shot this as I was driving home from an onsite service call. Rain in the valley is rare, but not so much in the alluvial fan — about 12 miles distant. This rain burst being directly related to where Pahrump gets most of its ground water, I used this photo at www.privatewellowners.com It was extremely bright that day, and cold. So why is the pic so underexposed? I had the camera in the wrong shooting mode.
